Newport World Resorts Casino: the property and its location
Property and location research updated 26 October 2026.
An airport-side entertainment district
Newport World Resorts brings casino, hotel, dining and performance venues together in Newport City, Pasay, opposite Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3. Established in 2009, the complex is organised around the Newport Grand Wing and Newport Garden Wing. Its current operator material identifies five principal international hotel brands: Marriott, Sheraton, Hotel Okura, Hilton and Holiday Inn Express. They offer different accommodation experiences within the same broader destination, not interchangeable rooms under a single hotel name. For visitors, this makes Newport more like a compact hospitality district than a solitary casino building. Its location is distinct from the Manila Bay integrated resorts in Parañaque, even though both areas form part of metropolitan Manila.

The airport connection and hotel orientation
Marriott describes Newport World Resorts as the former Resorts World Manila, a useful clarification when older maps or reviews use the previous name. Its hotel sits on Resorts Drive and identifies Runway Manila as an air-conditioned pedestrian connection to Terminal 3. That bridge is valuable geographical context, but it does not place every hotel lobby inside the airport or provide the same route to other terminals. Check the terminal on your flight itinerary and the final walk to your chosen hotel. Marriott’s accommodation includes its West Wing and a selection of suites, while separate pool areas, fitness facilities and Quan Spa provide activities away from the casino.

A convention destination as well as a resort
The Marriott event complex is a substantial part of Newport’s business identity. Its current capacity chart distinguishes the Grand Ballroom from the Manila Ballroom, smaller meeting rooms, garden spaces and the MGBx Convention Hall. For example, the Grand Ballroom is listed for 3,900 in theatre seating but 2,000 for a banquet. These are configuration-specific figures rather than a promise that every event can accommodate the same crowd. Product launches, conferences and celebrations place different demands on staging, circulation and catering. Organisers should request the relevant floor plan and confirmed setup rather than rely on a headline maximum, particularly because the website contains different capacity figures in different introductory sections.

Finding your way through Newport Mall
The resort’s directory is useful because entertainment and dining are spread across floors, wings and hotel buildings. It places Newport Performing Arts Theater on the third floor of Newport Mall, El Calle Food and Music Hall on the second, and The Grand Bar and Lounge on the Grand Wing casino’s ground floor. Restaurants are similarly distributed: Man Ho is in Marriott’s West Wing, Oori in Sheraton, and Yamazato in Hotel Okura. These are more helpful meeting instructions than simply agreeing to meet at Newport. The mall also contains retail shops and cinemas, giving non-gaming visitors reasons to use the complex without entering a casino.

A Japanese-inspired accommodation option
Hotel Okura’s Hinoki-yu room illustrates how strongly the hotels can differ in atmosphere and layout. The operator describes a Japanese cypress bathtub, stone finishes, an origami-crane motif and a small garden feature inspired by the tsubo-niwa tradition. Importantly, this room type faces inward towards the Yawaragi Restaurant atrium and does not have an outside-view window. That distinction is central to choosing it: the design prioritises an interior setting rather than a city panorama. The hotel also specifies that this category is unsuitable for families with children below eight because of particular room features. Other room categories should be assessed on their own specifications.

Dining with distinct regional identities
Yamazato provides a Japanese dining counterpart to Hotel Okura’s accommodation. Its current page distinguishes a sushi counter from a private teppanyaki dining room, with separate arrangements and advance enquiries encouraged. These are different ways of organising a meal, not merely different tables in a generic buffet. The restaurant publishes a smart-casual dress code and asks guests to discuss allergies or dietary requirements with staff. Such details are especially useful when combining dinner with a theatre visit, because arrival time and meal format need to work together. A reservation at one Newport restaurant does not imply access or a booking at another hotel’s facilities.

Another dining perspective at Hilton
Hilton adds a different set of dining environments. Hua Yuan concentrates on Shanghainese cooking, while Kusina Sea Kitchens combines live cooking stations with Filipino and international dishes. The latter’s published description includes an Indo-Malay halal station, a grill section and seafood prepared to order. This is a description of particular offerings, not certification of every dish in the restaurant. Madison Lounge and Bar shifts between coffee and lighter daytime food and an evening lounge setting. For families or mixed groups, these distinctions help narrow the options more effectively than a total restaurant count, which can change as outlets open or close across Newport City.

Filipino performance within the resort
Live theatre is an important part of Newport’s identity beyond gaming. In September 2026, the operator reported the opening of Bongga Ka, ’Day!: The Annie Batungbakal Musical at Newport Performing Arts Theater. Built around music by Hotdog, the production brought a stylised version of seventies Manila to the stage through dance, comedy and romance. The announcement identifies Newport, VIVA Communications and The Philippine STAR as partners, with PETA Plus involved in staging. Its advertised run ends on October 31, 2026, so it should be understood as a dated production rather than a permanent attraction. Future visitors should consult the theatre’s current programme.

A neighbouring place of worship
Newport’s surroundings also include the Shrine of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus on Newport Boulevard, within the Villamor area. Pasay’s city government traces the shrine’s development through an earlier chapel, its reconsecration as a church in 1983, and important shrine milestones in 2007. This is a separate religious institution, not a resort entertainment venue. Its worship services and commemorative role add a different dimension to the neighbourhood, alongside the airport and hotels. Visitors interested in local religious life should respect services and private prayer, and check arrangements with the shrine itself. The contrast illustrates why Newport City should not be reduced to its casino facilities alone.

Architecture beyond the resort
The shrine’s own architectural description identifies a cross-shaped plan, with a long nave and two shorter transepts, and a column-free interior beneath its dome. Those features create an unobstructed space for worship. They also provide a clear architectural contrast to the enclosed retail corridors and hotel interiors of Newport.

Customer reviews
Tripadvisor — individual visitor review — 2024-03
A December 2023 visitor staying at Hilton appreciated the convenient mall dining and airport-area location, while describing the range of things to see as limited. The visitor explicitly did not enter the casino; this is not a gaming-floor assessment.

Tripadvisor — individual Garden Wing Café review — 2024-11-25
This reviewer described a frustrating Garden Wing Café visit after a cinema outing, reporting inattentive service and communication. It is a dated account about one restaurant visit, not evidence of service throughout every Newport hotel.
