M Resort’s second hotel tower officially opened on 1 December 2025, according to PENN Entertainment’s announcement. The same statement scheduled a public celebration for 3 December. Those are two different milestones: the first records the opening, while the second records the ceremony.
Bedrooms and gathering space grew together
The development brought the property to 765 rooms and suites. It also included the 15,000-square-foot Montese Ballroom, which had opened in October 2025. PENN reported that the addition increased total indoor and outdoor conference and event space to more than 100,000 square feet.
The pairing explains the business logic of the expansion more clearly than a room count alone. More bedrooms can accommodate larger overnight groups, while the ballroom adds a place for those guests to gather. That is an interpretation of the combined programme, rather than a claim about a particular conference or occupancy result.
A separate record for the tower’s outer skin
Facade contractor Crown Corr’s M Resort project page credits Marnell Architecture and The Penta Building Group. It lists 95,000 square feet of curtain wall within its scope, with a completion entry for the second quarter of 2025.
That earlier date need not conflict with the December hotel opening. A specialist’s scope can be completed before rooms, building systems and guest services are ready for public use. The contractor page describes its own work; the operator announcement establishes when the hotel welcomed guests.
This distinction is useful when tracing a resort’s physical development. Facade completion, ballroom opening, hotel opening and ceremonial launch can all occur in the same project without sharing a date. At M Resort, the evidence supports a staged 2025 expansion whose finished elements served related, but separate, hospitality functions.
